When Sage walks into a room full of strangers, she walks out with twenty best friends. She’s got a big personality with a big heart. And is proudly gay.
Then there’s me. My religious background taught me to be seen and not heard. And when I finally found my voice, the school expelled me, and my parents cut me off financially.
When my friendship with Sage deepens, I need to accept that there may be more to my feelings. But that’s easier said than done.
I wish I could follow my heart like Sage does. Especially since I can see my uncertainty is hurting her.
